The Company is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to service your transportation needs. AC Taxi Ltd. operates 44 taxi's three of which are Wheelchair accessible.
AC Taxi Ltd offers three wheelchair accessible taxis that work hand in hand with the Regional District and their HandyDart program. Our drivers are fully trained and qualified to transport wheelchairs and most electric scooters safely. We also participate in the Region District HandyDART and Taxi Saver program which is an economical ride for the elderly and disabled. The drivers are trained with the HandyDart program sensitivity course given to AC Taxi Ltd. by the Regional District of Nanaimo Transportation Department.
We service every sailing of the newly upgraded BC Ferries into Nanaimo, all of the float plane arrivals into Nanaimo's Harbour, the ever expanding Nanaimo Airport, the Island and mainland arrivals at the Nanaimo Bus Depot, and the Nanaimo train station.
If you arrive at one of these terminals and don't see our yellow taxis there don't panic just give us a call at 250-753-1231 or toll free at 1-800-753-1231 and one of our courteous drivers will be there to pick you up within minutes of your call.
AC Taxi Ltd is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Our calltakers will answer and record your call and the automated dispatch system does the rest. It is equipped with GPS so our dispatchers know where your trip is and where our drivers are at all times.
Our pick up area starts at Northwest Bay Road to the North, Carmichael Road to the South, the mountains in the West, and the shoreline in the East. We also can pick up customers all over Vancouver Island if they drop off in back inside the area above.
We have recently installed "Debit Card" technology and are able to process your card for less than an ATM. We also accept Mastercard, VISA and American Express. Cash is also, still accepted.
